"To NYPD, following my application for NYPD Homeshield boiler cover. The inspection visit was assigned to 'Andy' who arrived promptly and was courteous and tidy throughout the visit. He undertook an extremely thorough boiler inspection and was keen to show me, and explain, the working parts inside the boiler, how to adjust the wireless control and other types of control available. Not only did he check the pipework, connections and radiators but also tested and lit the gas fires to check the boiler capacity was adequate to cope with the gas flow from these appliances.

I have great confidence in NYPD and feel reassured by their level of expertise knowledge and customer care. It is good to know in the event of a boiler or plumbing emergency they are only a phone call away and I have no hesitation in recommending NYPD to my friends family and colleagues"

"Dear Nigel and the NYPD Team,
I am writing to express my sincere thanks to you and Steve for coming out straight after Christmas and sorting out what could have been a potentially messy and expensive problem.
Our property suffered subsidence due to ground shrinkage caused by close proximity of large trees on the council cycle path adjacent to the front of our property. The monitoring and repairs were concluded in the autumn of 2013.
A week or so before Christmas I noticed a damp stain in our downstairs toilet ceiling which progressively got worse - the damp affecting the tiled wall.
Christmas Eve morning I became more concerned as it was worsening so remembering I have NYPD Gold Shield cover I called NYPD.
The call was dealt with promptly and efficiently - details taken then a call back to say 'Yes' I was covered and Nigel and Martin would be out Friday between 8 and 8:30 a.m.
Friday came they arrived at 8:05 a.m.and after some investigation established the hot water feed into the ensuite above the toilet was leaking due to a poor joint and probably the effects of the subsidence. It was quickly repaired and a disaster averted.
Had I not called them out the joint would have failed completely and as we have a pressurised hot water system 250litres of hot water under pressure would have come out through the ceiling flooding the toilet and hallway!
I would like to thank NYPD for dealing with this so efficiently and coming out during the Festive Season. I would absolutely recommend NYPD and their Home Shield cover - you never know when you might need their help - we are glad we had it.
